An international scientific conference for researchers in the field of humanities under the name “Social, Political and Economic Changes in the Western Balkans” was held in Sarajevo on 25-26 May. The conference was attended by more than 130 researchers from university and research institutes from 15 countries in the region and western Europe.
Media Plan Institute presented the regional project “Minorities and Media” which it is implementing together with the Novi Sad School of Journalism and the Journalism and PR School from Skopje, with the support of the Regional Research Promotion Program (RRPP). The project analyzes content of national minority media in four countries and attempts to find answers and give recommendations on the most efficient forms of providing information for national minorities.
Numerous research projects made in cooperation with methodologists from different universities in Europe were presented during the two-day conference. The conference was organized by the Regional Research Promotion Program of the University of Fribourg In cooperation with the Swiss Development and Cooperation Agency.
